About the Programme
CXL's Growth Marketing Mini Degree is a practitioner-focused programme built around the frameworks and methodologies used by growth teams at data-driven companies. Unlike broad digital marketing certifications, it focuses on the systematic side of growth — experimentation design, funnel analysis, prioritisation frameworks, and channel-specific growth tactics grounded in evidence rather than convention.
What the Programme Covers
The curriculum spans growth strategy foundations, acquisition channel deep-dives (SEO, paid, email, content), experimentation and A/B testing methodology, conversion rate optimisation, retention and lifecycle marketing, and data analysis for growth decisions. Each module is built around case studies and applied exercises rather than conceptual overviews.
Why I Did It
At the time I enrolled, I was moving from a purely SEO-focused role toward a broader growth function. I needed a structured framework for thinking about the full acquisition funnel — not just organic search — and a vocabulary for experimentation that I could apply to prioritising growth initiatives. CXL provided both.
What I Applied
The ICE and RICE prioritisation frameworks from the programme directly influenced how I structure growth backlogs — both for SEO content calendars and MarTech implementation queues. The experimentation module changed how I approach any proposed change: hypothesis first, measurement plan before build, statistical significance as a non-negotiable before declaring a winner.
