“Jack of All, Master of None” —A 4AM Thought

“Jack of All, Master of None” — A 4AM Thought

I recently joined one of the best courses I’ve ever taken. It opened my eyes to a world of websites, tools, and systems that feel like superpowers.

The AI wave is everywhere. Teenagers are switching from dreams of becoming doctors to becoming GPT experts. Even the retired uncle in his morning walk group is bragging about how his grandson joined an MNC as an ML engineer — and is earning in dollars.

We’re all seeing it: GPT is becoming a part of everyday life.

Even when your motorcycle makes a karrr sound — you’re either gpt(ing) or googling the noise and walking into the mechanic’s shop acting like you know what’s wrong. That’s the kind of assistive power AI brings.

Here’s what I’m learning: how to become a problem-solver for anything.

  • Want to create a landing page?
  • Want to automate your workflow?
  • Want to write scripts or generate product mockups?

There’s a tool, AI, or GPT for it.

You don’t need to be a techie.

You just need curiosity and a bit of clarity.

What used to be a dead-end thought like:

“I have a great idea for a website — but I don’t have a developer or budget.”

…now becomes:

“No worries. There’s a tool for that.”

This is what “Jack of All, Master of None” looks like in the AI age.

Maybe it’s not a bad thing anymore.

Maybe being a generalist with tool awareness is the new leverage.

There’s no hard conclusion to this 4AM thought — and maybe that’s okay.

But maybe we all need to ask:

Is this just FOMO? Or are we witnessing the actual shift in how work gets done?
