My Journey in SEO and Digital Marketing

My path into SEO and digital marketing wasn’t a conventional one—it was shaped by my early experiences in advertising, event management, and media. From the beginning, I was deeply involved in understanding how brands communicate, how audiences engage with content, and how consumer behavior influences decision-making. These foundational experiences helped me develop a strong grasp of branding, storytelling, and strategic planning—skills that would later prove invaluable in my SEO career.

During my time in advertising and event management, I worked on real-world projects that demanded creativity, adaptability, and result-oriented thinking. From planning brand campaigns to executing large-scale events, I learned how to attract audiences, optimize engagement, and measure success—all of which are critical components of digital marketing. Understanding how to position a brand effectively, craft compelling messages, and drive user actions gave me an edge when I transitioned into SEO.

Transitioning into SEO

Early Career in Advertising & Event Management (2015-2018)

My career started in advertising and event management, where I worked with advertising agencies and event planning companies while pursuing my BMM (Advertising specialization). During this period, I gained hands-on experience in event planning, brand promotions, and campaign execution. I also explored opportunities in the film industry, handling operational and promotional work.

After graduating in 2018, I continued working in event management and film-related projects, managing client interactions, on-ground execution, and marketing activities. These experiences shaped my ability to understand audience behavior, coordinate large-scale projects, and execute high-impact marketing strategies—all of which later played a role in my SEO career.

Transition to SEO & Digital Marketing (2019-2021)

Started my SEO career at Mobaccs India, where I built a strong foundation in on-page SEO, keyword research, and link-building strategies. My background in event management helped me grasp the importance of user engagement, brand positioning, and content planning early on.

Over time, I specialised in eCommerce SEO, working on product and category page optimisation, technical SEO, structured data implementation, and site audits. I focused on improving crawlability, search visibility, and conversion performance for online stores through a combination of strategy and execution.

Expanding Across Industries (2021-2023)

Between 2021 and 2023, I worked at Commerce Pundit, handling SEO for Kitchen365 and other USA-based eCommerce brands. This phase allowed me to deepen my expertise in international SEO, content optimization, and large-scale website migrations. I integrated technical SEO, content marketing, and digital advertising strategies to improve rankings and drive conversions.

By 2023, I transitioned into an SEO leadership role, leading a team while optimizing SEO tools and automation processes. My role involved mentoring team members, improving workflows, and implementing data-driven strategies to maximize efficiency and search performance.

Scaling SEO for BFSI & Large-Scale Brands (2024-Present)

In 2024, I entered the BFSI sector, joining Performics India (Publicis Groupe) to manage SEO for leading financial brands. This required a deep understanding of highly competitive keyword landscapes, compliance-based SEO, and authority-building strategies. I worked on ranking BFSI keywords, improving technical SEO, and enhancing content relevance for trust-driven industries.

As of 2025, I continue working with major brands in the financial marketplace space, where my responsibilities have expanded beyond traditional SEO. Along with managing SEO and domain ecosystems, I am also contributing to ASO, app performance tracking, email automation, and cross-channel growth initiatives.

This phase of my journey is focused on integrating data, BI tools, and AI-led automation into my workflow, enabling more informed decision-making and performance scaling across digital channels.

Where I Am Today & What’s Next

At this stage, my work spans beyond traditional SEO into supporting broader digital growth efforts—across app visibility, performance analytics, and automation. I’m currently exploring BI tools, AI-led workflows, and channel integrations that can enhance decision-making and long-term impact.

As digital ecosystems become more connected, my focus remains on refining strategies that improve visibility, user experience, and business performance. I’m excited to keep learning, experimenting, and contributing to outcomes that go beyond rankings—towards more sustainable, data-informed growth.
